Our philosophy and our aims

At Early Steps we strive to provide an exciting environment, where the children will learn through play. We understand that all children are unique, and they all bring different skills, ideas and have different ways of learning. By having a key worker system in place, and through discussions with parents, we understand each child as an individual and tailor their experiences to maximise their potential.

Young children can develop many skills through the power of play. Play helps to nurture imagination and give a child a sense of adventure. Through this, they can learn essential skills such as problem solving, working with others, sharing and much more. In turn, this helps them develop the ability to concentrate.

Our Aims at Early Steps

•To make learning fun and exciting.

•To celebrate children’s achievements, big and small, to increase self-esteem, independence, and self-confidence.

•To make the children understand that it is okay to be different and that diversity is something that should be celebrated.

•To work in partnership with the children, parents, carers, and staff, to give the children the best possible start in life.

•To ensure that all the children feel safe, secure, and valued.

•To provide different experiences to spark the children’s imagination and curiosity.

•To equip the children with the personal, social, emotional and communication skills that they need, so they will be ready for the transition to school.

•To make every child and adult that walks through our door feel welcome.
