Judith Owen
I am Judith and I have a BA in Early Childhood studies and am a qualified Early Years Teacher. I have been working as an early years teacher for 16 years. I was was originally the manager of Early Steps before buying the preschool in December 2017. I originally worked in insurance, before finding my passion for working in the Early Years sector. I have 2 of my own children (both who work for the preschool). When not working, I enjoys concerts, the theatre, reading... and watching Liverpool FC!

Hi, I am Becky. I have worked in childcare for 19 years and started at Early Steps in 2022. I have 4 children and a granddaughter, my 2 youngest children and my granddaughter attended Early Steps. In my spare time I like going on days out and I love going to see the football (my team is Newcastle.

Hi, I’m Emma. I have 3 children, 2 of whom went to Early Steps, which is how I came to fall in love with it. I started working here in 2019 and I really enjoy working in the setting because it has a lovely family feel. In my spare time I like spending time with my family and socialising with my friends.

Hi, I am Charlotte. I have worked at Early Steps on and off since around 2018. I have a level 3 in childcare. I love doing the creative and messy stuff with the children, I am always setting up fun arts and crafts and messy play activities! In my spare time I enjoy gaming, going to the theatre and going for walks.

Hi, I'm James. I am currently working on my level 3 in Early Years through Jace. I have been working at Early Steps since 2018. In the future, I hope to progress and become a primary school teacher. Outside of work, I enjoy gaming, playing with my dog and playing or watching football, especially Liverpool FC.

Hi my name is Lucy. I have my NVQ level 2 and I am currently studying my level 3. I have worked in childcare for a few years, starting out doing an apprenticeship. I started at Early Steps in 2023 and I’m really happy to be with the team, it’s a very welcoming place. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family and friends.

Hi, I am Sophie. I have always wanted to work with children, it is what i worked towards in school and college. I started working here in around 2019, i started at Early Steps because it was familiar due to my younger siblings attending. I have a daughter, who also loves coming to Early Steps. Outside of the preschool I like to have movie days with my daughter.

Hello, I am Vicky. I started working at Early Steps in October 2023, i have always had a passion for working with children and I have 1 of my own. I have a level 2 in childcare and I am currently doing my level 3. In my spare time I like reading books, spending yime with my family and going on days out.

Hi, I am Chelsea. I started working at Early Steps in September 2023. I have a lot of younger siblings, so i am used to being around children, I also teach dance to children outside of the preschool. Outside of work I am a competitive dancer and I enjoy listening to music.

Samantha Jewitt
Hello, my name is Samantha, I’ve only just started working at Early Steps in 2025. My son used to attend the nursery and absolutely loved it, me and my son built a lovely relationship with the staff. I am a mum of 3, with a boy that has challenges so working in childcare I have understanding of the challenges children may face. I absolutely love working in the setting. In my own time I like to spend time with my family and clean.
